On Monday, October 6th Sheridan is hosting a MIRANET Mayoral Debate at our HMC campus in room A145 from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. This debate will be aired live by Rogers TV. MIRANET is currently looking for student representation for the debate and they have 40 seats on hold for this purpose. This is an invite only event and the students must RSVP. MIRANET announces that two Mississauga Mayoral Candidates, Bonnie Crombie and Steven Mahoney, have been invited to the MIRANET Mayoral Debate taking place at Sheridan College on Monday, October 6, 2014 @ 8:00-10:00 pm. This Debate will be aired live by Rogers TV (Mississauga) and rebroadcast several times prior to the municipal election on October 27, 2014.
Attendance at the MIRANET Mayoral Debate is by invitation only, including the audience, which will be comprised of representatives of Mississauga’s ratepayer associations, community stakeholder liaisons, and Sheridan College students. The moderated format will explore a variety of key issues determining the future of our City.
Previously, on September 25, MIRANET conducted a Mayoral Forum open to all accessible registered mayoral candidates in Mississauga. In addition, MIRANET has sponsored all eleven (11) ward-level council candidate debates produced by Rogers TV. The Mayoral Forum and the ward debates are also being rebroadcast several times on Rogers TV (Mississauga) prior to the municipal election.
