Week 12 is coming to an end and that means that there are officially only two weeks of the semester remaining! Due dates for assignments are coming up and it’s about time to hit the books for those upcoming exams. Because we all strive for success in our academic paths, this means long days and late nights… Nothing a little caffeine can’t help with.
This isn’t exactly a service; however I have always found myself thankful to Sheridan for having various coffee options around campus. Of course if coffee isn’t your cup of tea, well… why not have a cup of tea instead?
Our very own cafeteria offers some wonderful Starbucks options including delicious herbal teas and decaf coffee, if caffeine isn’t really your thing. The soothing heat of your beverage will soon lift your spirits and give you that extra “oomph” you need to keep that academic mind primed and ready for just about anything!
Why not grab some grub while you’re there? Food is an integral part of crunch time and snacks are a must!
And not to forget one of Canada’s iconic symbols, Tim Hortons! Since 1964 Tim’s has always been there for early birds and night owls to get through work, and even studying. Donuts, sandwiches, and cookies… they’ve got it all! With so many options it’s no wonder they’ve got so many people coming back for more.
Of course hot drinks and yummy food won’t be all you need. Remember to take breaks often to give yourself a chance to collect your thoughts by going for walks, or watching your favourite movie with a friend or family member, and don’t forget the most important; sleep! Give your body and soul the comfort of sleep, you’ll be able to take on tasks a lot easier and retain more information by catching some Z’s!
Just a reminder that you are not alone in this journey! Sheridan is here to offer supports for your success! Check out our previous blog post about the library services by clicking here, and look into getting tutoring to give you the edge you need!
P.S. Your Peer Mentors are still available to help you out with anything you may need, so be sure to reach out to them with your questions or concerns!
